Get The Look: 2020 Grammys Red Carpet Makeup
I am writing this while watching the red carpet for the 2020 Grammys and I have definitely seen some makeup looks that I really love and some, not so much! I actually feel like the makeup is a bit toned down and much more neutral overall from the Golden Globe Awards. I have also seen some flashy nails, so of course I had to include that too!
Here are my favorite makeup picks and how you can get the Red Carpet look.
Ariana wowed the crowd with her ballroom gown and signature ponytail. She kept her makeup neutral with a dramatic winged eyeliner.
You can recreate Ariana’s winged eyeliner with the best seller Motives Gel Eyeliner-Little Black Dress. I recommend that you use the Motives Angled Brush to apply. It’s has the perfect bristles to get a precise look.
Lizzo looked stunning in white. White really seemed to be a popular choice this year! I also loved her glow and subtle smokey eye. The light color in the inner corner with darker outer corner looks so flattering on her! I also LOVE her classic Hollywood hair.
The Motives Element Palette is perfect to recreate Lizzo’s eyes and it just so happens to be one of my favorites!!
Gwen looked adorable in this Dolce & Gabbana shell dress. Her glow is so youthful looking and it’s hard to believe she recently turned 50! She saved her signature red lip for her performance later with Blake Shelton and kept it nude for the Red Carpet.
To recreate Gwen’s beautiful glow, you’ll need some Halo!! It’s actually in the Motives Pressed Blush category, but it is the perfect highlighter. It never looks too shimmery, it’s just the right amount of glow. You can apply it to the top of the cheekbones and in the middle of the bridge of your nose.
I am in love with Bebe’s entire look! Her outfit, her hair, her makeup and her nails! She also choose nude makeup with a bold eyeliner. She looked absolutely FLAWLESS!
You can get the look of Bebe’s nude lip with Motives Velvet Lipstick in Birthday Suit. The best part is, your lips will stay conditioned all night long!
I love how simple JoJo looks. And her smile, she just truly radiates good vibes. She choose to place her liner on her waterline and has sort of a sultry eye makeup look, and her brows are on point!
Nails on the Red Carpet
It wouldn’t be right not to mention the wild nail art as it was definitely prevalent the Red Carpet tonight at the 2020 Grammys.
Though nail art never really went anywhere, it hasn’t been as big of a trend as it was in the early 2010s. But Billie Eilish, Lizzo, and Rosalía all wore ultra-long and bold nail designs to celebrate music’s biggest night. Check out their stunning designs below.
