How to Make 2019 Your Best Year
Are you ready to make 2019 your best year? Most people see the start of a new year a reason to make resolutions and it’s also a great time to reflect on the year before and redo your goals for the next 12 months.
Where do you start? Something that I teach all year long is to always start with your ‘why’. When you find your ‘why’, you create the fire in your soul that acts as the catalyst to create magic. Your purpose is what wakes you up every morning, keeps you hustling hard all day and gives you the resilience to never give up.
What does your dream life look like? What do you need to achieve to achieve your dream life? Here are 10 tips on how to make 2019 your year.
Remind yourself of your ‘why.’
This is one of the most important things that you can do. Take some time out to reflect on your why and what your dream life looks like. Create a vision board. Start with visualizing your ‘why’ every morning and before you go to sleep at night. Envision it until it becomes real.
Have a written plan for success.
Create your strategy for everything you want to achieve in 2019 with timelines to help hold yourself accountable. Make sure to write down the dates on all of the things you want to achieve so there is a deadline.
Practice gratitude daily.
Gratitude doesn’t have to be saved for the “big” things in life. The habit of being grateful starts with appreciating every good thing in life and recognizing that there is nothing too small for you to be thankful for.
Make yourself a priority.
Put yourself first. Your health and goals are just as urgent as everything and everyone else. Eat healthy, drink enough water exercise. You are worth it.
Work toward your goals every day. Even if it’s one small task a day, you’re keeping momentum and will be one step closer to your dream life. Don’t let anyone or anything steer you away from it.
Start your bucket list.
Plan to check something off your bucket list every month. Tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us, so why wait? Even if it’s something small. Don’t wait…
Life is precious. We never know when the universe may take loved ones back, so love your tribe hard with everything you’ve got. Tell them how much they mean to you.
Be a doer.
Stop talking about it – just be about it! Whatever it is you want to do, do it now! Don’t procrastinate, take immediate action. Get into the habit of taking action before fear sets in.
Work on yourself.
Self-love is essential for a happy life. Work on loving yourself more and watch the magic unfold. Read ‘I am’ statements outload daily. Stop all of the negative self-talk going on. You are enough!
Some research indicates that the benefits of laughter go well beyond the ever-important fun factor. Laughter may be a blood-pressure reducer, an immune-system booster, a stress buster and a friend maker. Do more of the things that you have fun doing with the people you love and make sure to laugh.
